Greg Oldfield is a physical education teacher, coach, and writer from the Philadelphia area where he lives with his daughter. His stories have appeared in Barrelhouse, Carve, the Under Review, and Maudlin House, among others. He also writes about soccer for the Florida Cup and the Brotherly Game. Greg is currently querying his novel, Kicking Avalon, which follows a former soccer player’s search for identity in a South Jersey beach town following the end of his injury-plagued career. While a Kinesiology undergrad at Penn State University, Greg played on the nationally-ranked soccer team. He earned his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Arcadia University and now writes to fill his soccer-playing void.
